Openings on Program's Advisory Board

We are soliciting messages of interest from licensed morticians to serve on the Program's Advisory Board. The Advisory Board meets one to two times a year to discuss program policy, trends in the profession affecting funeral service education, and feedback from graduates and employers about students' preparation for the workforce following graduation.  Terms of appointment typically run for three years. 

If this is something that interests you, please send a message (e-mail is fine) to the Program (e-mail: mortsci@umn.edu) in which you discuss your work experience in funeral service, and why you would like to serve on the Advisory Board.  We do require that applicants be working at least 50% time in funeral service to be eligible to sit on the Board in their role as an "active funeral service practitioner."  

(Note: You are not required to come to campus for meetings -- many out-state Board members participate via Conference Call.)
