Call for Nominations for Alumnus of the Year

Our Alumni Board is soliciting nominations for the Program's Alumnus of the Year award. 

To be eligible to receive this award, the nominee must be a graduate of the Program of Mortuary Science at the University of Minnesota.

Nomination letters (or e-mail messages) should discuss how the nominee:  a) Has exhibited exemplary service to their community and client families; b) Has demonstrated leadership in the community(ies) they serve; c) Has shown a commitment to advancing the profession of funeral service; d) Has supported, in a meaningful way, the mission of the Program of Mortuary Science at the University of Minnesota.

If there is a program alumnus you believe would be an excellent candidate for this award, we ask that you please send your nomination to the Program of Mortuary Science -- either by e-mail (e-mail, or via hardcopy letter: Program of Mortuary Science, MMC 740, 420 Delaware Street SE, Minneapolis, MN  55455.  Nomination letters / message need not be lengthy; one single-spaced page, or approximately 500 words (+/-), would be fine.

Nominations are due on Thursday, March 31.  The formal announcement of this year's recipient will occur during the Program's 108th Commencement Ceremony, to be held on Friday, May 13th.
